For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14)
At New Hope Fellowship, we believe that missions is participating and cooperating with the redemptive work God is doing on earth through His love and grace. As a result, while we seek to become disciples of Christ in our own lives, we also strive and seek to make disciples of Christ not only both locally and but abroad as well through different means such as evangelism, intentional discipleship, worship, and social ministries.
In pursuing a vision for missions, New Hope Fellowship has committed to working among the world’s unreached, unengaged people groups (UUPGs). They are unengaged, which means that not one Church, not one mission agency… no one has yet taken responsibility to tell them of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Many of these groups have no part of the Bible in their own language and no tools for evangelism. These peoples are at the very heart of the unfinished Great Commission task.
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28: 29-20)
With this vision in mind, New Hope Fellowship has committed to serving in different regions of the world, with the goal to engage the unengaged.
As we engage, serve, love and share with each person we encounter wherever, we hope that one day the vision of all peoples worshipping God in Revelation 7 will become a reality:
There…was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb. (Revelation 7: 9-10)
