Building Up the Body of Christ
… building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:12-13, ESV)
II. LET’S BUILD UP THE BODY OF CHRIST––WITH VARIETIES OF GIFTS USED BY EVERY MEMBER.
to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. (Ephesians 4:7, NASB)
And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-12, NASB)
From him [Christ] the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (Ephesians 4:16, NIV)
III. LET’S BUILD UP THE BODY OF CHRIST––WITH LOVE.
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:2-3, NIV)
… speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ, (Ephesians 4:15, NASB)
