Pastor Charles was born in Korea, came to Canada when he was thirteen and has lived in a number of different cities in North America (Vancouver, D.C., Virginia, New Jersey, and Boston) before coming to Toronto in 2012.
Having grown up at church, he got baptized when he was in high school and grew in his faith through a campus ministry in college. Though he majored in economics in college, after a clear sense of God’s call into a vocational ministry, he obeyed God’s call to be an ordained minister of the gospel. As a lifelong learner, he studied at Regent College (MCS), Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (MDiv, ThM) and McMaster Divinity College (DPT).
He is grateful to serve as a pastor at New Hope Fellowship where he gets to witness God’s grace at work in people’s lives. He desires to be a genuine follower of Christ who can help others to follow Christ together with him. He envisions our church to be a discipling community that equips the people of God for the mission of God in the world. That we will glorify God by making disciples of all nations, starting within our family and church context, then in our local neighbourhoods, schools, workplaces and to the ends of the earth.
He is blessed to be married to Natalie and be given three children (Daniel, Stephen and Charis).
Pastor Jonathan is excited to focus on the area of discipleship at New Hope Fellowship. Jonathan has been married to Jean for 16 years. He enjoys studying the biblical scriptures, and considers himself to be a life-long student. A particular desire of his is to show how these truths make sense of life, provide meaning to it, and uniquely enable us to live life well. He is an adjunct professor at Master’s College and Seminary in Peterborough and takes joy in investing in future leaders of the church.
Jonathan loves all things related to coffee from roasting to brewing, or pulling a great shot of espresso. On his time off you might either find him enjoying a hike in nature, renovating his home, or spending time with family.

David is passionate about worship ministry and aims to glorify God through it. He hopes to be a true worshiper at all time acknowledging God and praising Him in every circumstance.
He is married to Soo-Ram and they have a son (Hesed) and a daughter (Selah). David also has an extraordinary love and passion toward musical instruments and Japanese ramen.
Sunny joined the team at New Hope Fellowship's Mississauga campus in the Fall of 2024. Having prayerfully discerned God's calling, she is joyfully serving as our Assistant Director of the Sparks children's ministry. Firmly believing that the Holy Spirit is working in the hearts of our children, Sunny hopes for each child to accept Jesus into his/her heart as they experience God's sovereign grace in their lives! Everything she has is because of Jesus, and this is her testimony to the next generation.
An avid fan of all four seasons, Sunny enjoys gardening, patio dining, and day trips. Perhaps most of all, she loves walking with her husband, David, and their dog, Misu, who has taught her to appreciate every season to the fullest (from muddy spring walks to trudging through knee-deep snow)!
In January of 2021, Joon Lee became the administrative assistant for New Hope Fellowship Mississauga.

Pastor John was born in Korea but spent most of his life in the U.S. and Canada since 9 years of age. He has lived in Los Angeles, Iowa, Chicago, and Edmonton before coming to Toronto in 2021 with his wife Grace and daughter Anna. Pastor John studied at the University of Alberta (B.A. Psychology), and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.Div., ThM). He was born into a devout Christian family with his father being a medical missionary and pastor, mother being a Christian counselor, and brother being a pastor. But his relationship with Jesus became personal when he seriously began to pursue the Truth on his own which he couldn't find in his secular college education. After finding that the ultimate Truth is only in Jesus Christ (or more like—after the Lord graciously revealed that the ultimate truth is in Him alone), he dedicated his life to serve the Lord and the Lord eventually led him to serve His kingdom as a pastor. He is humbled and honoured to have the opportunity to be a part of the New Hope Fellowship family; his hope is to share the gospel of Jesus and do life with NHF members to grow together as a genuine, vibrant, and missional body of Christ.

Pastor Jason joined the pastoral team as the Mississauga teaching pastor in August 2016, and is the former lead pastor of New Hope Fellowship Uptown Campus. Jason and his family are from Philadelphia where Jason worked as a product manager in software development and eventually went to seminary at Westminster Theological Seminary. One of the reasons for their move to Toronto was so that Jason could begin his PhD program in early Christianity and New Testament at the University of Toronto. He is currently a Professor of Biblical Studies at Redeemer University and has published a number of peer-reviewed research articles through the most selective academic journals. Jason’s conviction is to teach how all of Scripture points to the centrality of the death, resurrection, and life of Christ, which brings clarity, liberation, and joy in all aspects of reality. At Uptown, this translates primarily into the ministries of preaching, discipleship, teaching, and, above all, supporting Rev. Brian Moon and the leadership team.
