Some of our ministries are campus-wide (like Life Groups, Overseas Missions Committee and Sports), while our other ministries are campus-specific.

Life Groups

The Life Group (LG) Ministry is where Christians of all walks meet and connect. It is a place where we explore God’s Word together, pray, and care for one another. It is a place where we commit to grow together as disciples who make disciples. It is a place where we are intentional about being missional together and participate in the mission of God locally and globally. LG’s meet twice a month from Oct-May.

Mission Trips

The Overseas Missions Committee (OMC) is a tri-campus ministry with a vision to cultivate a culture of overseas missions among our covenant members by providing practical opportunities to serve. The OMC is involved with identifying, planning and supporting mission trips, as well as providing missionary care for NHF-commissioned missionaries and strategic partners abroad.

Local Missions Team

Our purpose is to glorify God by inspiring, mobilizing & equipping NHF downtown members into missional living by spreading the gospel in word & deed in daily life, Downtown Toronto & the marginalized.

Events Team

The Events Team plans and hosts social events to bring the New Hope Downtown community together. We hope to express Christ-Likeness through our events, deepen our relationships with one another and create a space for the community to fellowship with one another.

Media Team

New Hope Downtown’s media team glorifies and praises God through our diverse creative and technical talents. Our dedicated team ranges from designing graphics, video editing, photography, social media management and more. We also support the church's Sunday worship services by managing PowerPoint presentations, lighting setups, and live streaming.

Life Groups

Life Groups are where members gather in a smaller group setting, to share life, pray together, and discuss the sermon and reflection questions together. Life Groups meet on a bi-weekly basis and each session is about 1.5 hours.

Connect Team

The Connect Team seeks to welcome, connect, and display Christ-centered hospitality to all newcomers and visitors of our community. The Connect team creates opportunities for newcomers to comfortably integrate and accustom themselves with New Hope Fellowship Downtown, its ministries and community members.

Intercessory Prayer Team

The goal of our Intercessory Prayer Ministry at New Hope Fellowship Downtown is to join together in prayer to intercede for what is on God’s heart. They intercede daily for the needs of the congregation and for various prayer topics. The team meets every second Sunday on Zoom to pray for the ministries at New Hope.

Discipleship Classes

The goal of Discipleship Classes is to equip the learner so that we think, love and serve like Jesus. Classes are designed so that people in different stages of life and different faith stages can be equipped and nurtured.

Praise Team

The Praise Ministry at New Hope Fellowship seeks to usher in authentic, gospel-centered worship to engage the multi-generational congregation of NHF DT in spirit and in truth.

HOPE KIDS Children’s Ministry

In Hope Kids we believe that the more we know God the more we will come to love Him. We teach our kids Christ-centered lessons with love, laughs, and heart. It is our hope that the seeds of the Gospel will be planted in their hearts and will spread deep roots in their lives. It is our hope that our kids will have dignity and integrity in their identity as children of God! Join us as we ADVENTURE through the pages of the Bible and learn about Jesus!

Media Ministry

New Hope’s media ministry glorifies and praises God through audio engineering, drawing, graphic design, photography, videography, and computer programming. We support the church’s media and technical needs as we all worship and serve God together.

Life Groups

Life Groups are where church happens! We meet in small groups at various places to fellowship and share our lives.

Welcoming Ministry

The Welcoming Ministry engages all members to greet and welcome guests and visitors with the love of Jesus Christ, building meaningful relationships and helping to create a smooth transition into the life and fellowship of New Hope!

Intercessory Prayer

The Prayer team is for any individuals who want to cultivate a more discerning heart on how the Spirit is working in, around, and through the Uptown community. This also involves interceding on behalf of others through prayer.

Local Outreach Ministry

Our mission is to show others the love of Jesus Christ present in our community through various events including sports, games nights, bbqs and local evangelism.

Praise Ministry

At NHF Uptown Praise Ministry, we seek to glorify God through music and edify the members of our congregation by leading them into a time of worship before our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our Uptown Praise team is made up of two aspects: 1) The band and 2) The media team.

Children’s Ministry

We offer your children a safe space of love, patience, and gentleness so they can grow to love, know, and worship God. Through interactive and engaging lessons, fun and exciting times of praise, along with the partnership of parents, we seek to nurture young disciples of Jesus Christ who follow, trust, and love God and love others, in all aspects of life.
