“Unlimited Power of the Holy Spirit” - John 3:31-36

Opening: The Holy Spirit is Jesus unlimited.

  • “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.” (John 16:7)

  • “The Spirit’s presence inside them, he said, would be better than himself beside them. ” (J. D. Greear, Jesus, continued)

  • “For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for He gives the Spirit without measure.” (v.34)

 1. Unlimited beyond our limitations.

  •  “The Father loves the Son and given all things into his hand.” (v.35)

2. Unlimited beyond our needs.

  • “Religion is what happens when the Spirit has left the building.” (Bono)

  • “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” (v.36)

  • Getting a cart without horse

3. Unlimited beyond our space.

  • “He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all.” (v.31)

Closing: God is outpouring the power of the Holy Spirit in every aspect and sphere of our lives.
