2025 OCT 19: REACHING & LOVING OUR MUSLIM NEIGHBOURS
REGISTER BY: OCT 12, 2025
CLASSES BEGIN: OCT 19, 2025 (3 weeks)
Class Description: This course is designed to equip believers with a clear and balanced understanding of Islam while providing practical tools for outreach and apologetics. Many Christians long to share Christ with their Muslim neighbors but feel uncertain about Islamic beliefs, traditions, and objections. This class will help you grow in both knowledge and confidence, enabling you to engage with compassion, wisdom, and respect.
We will begin by exploring the origins and development of Islam, examining its historical context and the key figures who shaped its foundation. Participants will also gain insight into the Qur’an and other Islamic scriptures, considering how Muslims interpret and apply them in everyday life. From there, we will study central practices such as prayer, fasting, and pilgrimage, and how these shape Muslim spirituality.
A central focus will be understanding how Muslims view Christ and Christianity, contrasted with the biblical truth about Jesus and the Christian faith. We will also address common misconceptions and objections raised against Christianity, equipping participants to respond thoughtfully and graciously. Special attention will be given to complex theological topics such as the Trinity, the deity of Christ, and the relationship between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Throughout, the emphasis will be on building bridges of understanding rather than barriers, and on sharing Christ in ways that are both authentic and compassionate.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Understand the core teachings of Islam
Recognize both similarities and key differences with Christianity
Develop effective approaches for outreach and apologetics
Share the good news of Christ respectfully and meaningfully
Build genuine, lasting relationships with Muslim neighbors
Join us as we learn how to love our Muslim neighbors well and faithfully share the hope we have in Christ.
