ONLINE SERVICE ONLY
Dear New Hope
On Thursday December 25, there was a heavy flood in the basement of our church and we are unable to meet in our building until we can identify and fix the source of the flood. We do not know how long this will take; and after much consideration and prayer, the leadership team of NHF Downtown has decided that we will continue our worship online until we find a solution. Please do not let this event stop you from joining us in worship!
We will continue to keep everyone updated through different channels of communication(WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram), and please share this message with others who need to know.
Lastly, please pray for a permanent fix to the flood so we can meet in person ASAP!
The Officers and E L T of NHF DT
Christmas Day Worship
Please join us on Christmas Day morning Thursday Dec. 25th for worship to celebrate our Lord Saviour’s birth! There will be light refreshments after the worship service!
Basics of Hermeneutics Class
Hermeneutics is the study and practice of the methods and principles used to understand and interpret Scripture faithfully and accurately. It helps us understand the original and intentional message of God's word to its original audience and how the word of God speaks into our context today.
Due to the nature of this course, a high level of commitment to attending ALL 7 CLASSES is expected. Classes will be held on ZOOM every Friday at 7:00PM bi-weekly starting on September 19 to December 12 [dates: Sept. 19; Oct. 3; Oct. 17; Oct. 31; Nov. 14; Nov. 28; Dec. 12]
TOWN (Thursday Open Worship Night)

Christmas Market
The NHF Downtown Christmas Market is a community outreach event that brings together church members, families, and neighbours to celebrate the Christmas season. The market will feature a variety of booths hosted by Life Groups, ministry teams, and individual members, offering food, handmade goods, and fun interactive activities for visitors of all ages. The market will take place on December 6 from 5–9 PM at NHF Downtown.
This year's theme, "Gift from Above," is inspired by James 1:17.
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." The theme reminds us that all blessings come from God and the greatest gift of all is Jesus Christ.
The Christmas Market is not only a festive gathering but also a missional opportunity to shine Christ's light in our neighbourhood. By inviting the community into our church, we hope to share the true message of Christmas that every good and perfect gift comes from above.
We are seeking volunteers for church decorating on November 26, flyer canvassing on November 30, and welcoming guests on the day of the market on December 6. Serving is an opportunity to give time and share Christ’s love with warmth and generosity.
Join us to pray for the Christmas Market, our community, and God’s work through this event on November 30, 2025 at 8PM
