Mental Health & The Church #2: Emotions

Mental Health & The Church

Seminar #2: EMOTIONS BY James Lam

Do you find yourself not knowing how you feel or hating how you feel? What are emotions and why are they important to our mental health? How does emotion affect the relationship with yourself, others and God? This workshop will explore emotions from a biblical perspective and help you understand and manage your emotions to build healthy relationships with self, others and God.

About James Lam

I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Marriage and Family Therapist helping individuals, couples and families with different mental health challenges. My interest in mental health started when I had the opportunity to get involved with Stephen Ministries, a Christian caring ministry at a time of intense loss. Eventually that interest led me to pursue an MDiv clinical counselling degree at Tyndale Seminary. I have been married for 36 years, have 2 daughters, and 4 grandchildren. I feel blessed to work in the field of mental health and am excited to share this topic with others.
