Coffe Break

Coffee Break is an inductive Bible study that fosters learning and the deep discovery of the Word of God together in friendly and low-key small groups. Using an informal approach of questions, Coffee Break encourages people to discover for themselves what the Bible says and means for their lives. Through application and sharing of life in light of God's Word, we strive for spiritual growth together.

Study Focus: The Book of Judges
The book of Judges records a period of about 300 years between the death of Joshua and the beginning of the monarchy (era of kings) in Israel. This is a troubled time in Israel's history, in which the people were often at war as they settled into the land God had given them. But it's also a time of heroes and miracles by which God worked to sustain his struggling people to bring a Saviour into this troubled world.  We see clearly that God is faithful despite the unfaithfulness of His people.  Though some of the stories in Judges have shocking twists and puzzling turns, we discover that human nature isn't much different than it was a few thousand years ago.  As a result, this study will often challenge us with issues that apply to our lives today.
