Rev. Charles Lee

Pastor Charles was born in Korea, came to Canada when he was thirteen and has lived in a number of different cities in North America (Vancouver, D.C., Virginia, New Jersey, and Boston) before coming to Toronto in 2012.

The gospel of God’s grace came alive during his second year in college through a small group Bible study on campus and ever since his encounter with Jesus Christ, he has been a zealous follower of Christ. As a life-long learner he has studied at Regent College (MCS), Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (MDiv, ThM) and is now pursuing his Doctorate of Practical Theology at McMaster Divinity College.

He feels privileged and humbled to be called into pastoral ministry at New Hope Fellowship where he gets to witness God’s grace at work in people’s lives. He desires to be a genuine follower of Christ who can lead others to follow Christ together with him. He envisions our church to be a discipling community that equips the people of God for the mission of God in the world. That we will glorify God by making disciples of all nations, starting within our family and church context, then in our local neighbourhoods and workplaces and to the ends of the earth. He is married to Natalie and has three children (Daniel, Stephen and Charis).
