Main Idea: The gospel doesn't simply change what we believe. It changes who we belong to. And because it changes who we belong to, it changes how we love one another.
THE GOSPEL GIVES US A NEW FAMILY (VV. 1–2)
1 Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as you would a father, younger men as brothers, 2 older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, in all purity. (1 Timothy 5:1-2)
18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God (Ephesians 2:18-19)
