Hermeneutics Class #2

GOD'S WORD: AUTHORITY, TRUTH, INTERPRETATIONS (HERMENEUTICS CLASS)

Is there objective morality? What function does God’s Word serve? Does scripture reveal the truth? Can we know the truth, or is what we deem to be the truth mere subjectivism? What does God’s word say about culturally held moral positions such as the role of men and women; questions concerning divorce & remarriage; and the much-debated topic related to homosexuality and questions surrounding gender issues?

These classes will dive into both the philosophical and the practical. Through taking these classes, one will learn a basic method of bible interpretation, along with acquiring first-hand experience dealing with biblical passages that challenge our culture’s moral values. The four classes will begin on April 28 and take place in Room #116 at 11:30 am.
